So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building

(1 Cor 3:7-9)

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.

(2 Cor 6:1)

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

(Matt 25:23)

While God can do all things through His sovereign power, He has also granted us the privilege to be His “co-workers” or “co-labourer” to participate in building and expanding His Kingdom.  Even as He has given the Vision for SSMC, His Holy Spirit must empower individuals to bring to fruition His purpose and accomplish the tasks set before us.

It is by God's grace that He has provided the resources, talents and giftings within the Body of Christ.  The challenge is  for us is to respond to His invitation to be His co-laborers as the harvest remain plentiful and the labourers are but few.
