SSMC 50th Anniversary Celebration - MISSION PARTNERS

Interserve is an international organisation. Malaysia is one of 14 National Offices around the world.

Interserve started 173 years ago in India amongst the ladies in the zenana (women's section of the house), providing them education and later, medical services. So it started as an all ladies ministry in the 1800s. Interserve in Malaysia started in 1986, as part of the mission wing of Malaysian Care. In 1992, Intercare was formed (later became Interserve) to take over the role of Malaysia Care as the National Committee.

Interserve exists to make Jesus Christ known amongst the neediest people in Asia and the Arab world.

One of our values is wholistic ministry. We don't just think that our so-called "secular " jobs are useful in our ministry, we believe that they are an integral part of our ministry. Wholistic means we also care for creation, help empower the poor, serve the needy, support the disabled, give voice to the voiceless and those who are marginalised.

Thus, Interserve works in a huge range of areas. From church planting to education to engineering to health care to environmental conservation to business to theological training to helping the refugees/migrants and the list goes on. Depending on the passion, profession, interest and calling of our Partners.

Our prayer need:

  1. That God will grant us wisdom, strength and resources to support those who we send, so that they are able to serve more effectively and stay longer in the field.

  2. That God will provide the manpower and finances for us to be able to do more

  3. For our community to glorify Him and bring worship to wherever they are sent.

Support Us

Pray, Give and Go

Every resource that we get, we are very thankful.

Also to give us an opportunity to speak with people from your church who are seeking to go out to serve cross-culturally.

We would love to partner with your church in your mission program or in educating your congregation about missions
