SSMC Children's Church

Children are an integral part of SSMC family. As such, the church is dedicated to communicate the love of God to every child by:

  • Providing a secure, loving and fun environment for learning about God

  • Teaching about God’s love, His truth and promises

  • Encouraging kids to come to a personal saving knowledge of Jesus Christ

  • Training kids on evangelism and how to reach out to others



TODDLER’S CHILDREN’S CHURCH (TCC)

Age : 2 – 3 years old (Matthew)

The little ones gather for free play at the start of class to enable a time of bonding. From spending time praising God in songs, making creative crafts to playing fun games and partaking delectable snacks, kids at TCC discover the wonders of God in every activity they participate.


JUNIOR CHILDREN’S CHURCH (JCC)

Age: 4 – 6 years old (Mark / Peter / James)

The JCC (Nursery / Kindy / Preschoolers) runs a very interactive programme. The child-like songs and games prepare the kids for the Bible lesson; which is then reinforced by small group bonding and related craft work. Systematically through the 3 years, kids are taught to memorise the names of the 66 books of the Bible, the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandment and other through songs.


INTERMEDIATE CHILDREN’S CHURCH (ICC)

Age: 7 – 10 years old (Luke / John / Enoch / Barnabas)

Bible lessons are presented through stories, games, dramas, role-plays, puzzles, crafts etc. The ultimate goal is that kids remember biblical principles taught in a loving and positive way, helping them to be confident in their spiritual growth.


SENIOR CHILDREN'S CHURCH (SCC)

Age: 11 -12 years old (Abel / Gideon)

Lessons are taught in a similar way to ICC. As kids here are gradually transitioning to Youth Group eventually, they are trained to sit through simple sermons in the Preaching Series to enable them to learn to focus and understand short sermons.


Every alternate year, kids in SCC are taught a complete Foundation Series to help ground them in the faith. Special baptism classes are held for those who are ready for baptism.


BAHASA MALAYSIA CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Age: 4 – 12 years old

The Bible lessons are conducted in Bahasa through bible stories, songs, craft, games etc. to help our bahasa-speaking children to grow in their faith in the language that they are proficient in.
